TCTP 2026 on Disability-Inclusive Employment and Business Officially Opened

On 24 August 2026, the Third Country Training Program 2026 (TCTP 2026), “Enhancing Disability-Inclusive Employment and Business (DIEB) in Asia and the Pacific” was officially opened under the theme “Building Capacity among Stakeholders in ASEAN and South Asia Countries.” The program was held at the Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre Chaeng Watthana.

The opening session featured Mr. Piroon Laismit, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD); Mr. Shunsuke Sakudo, Chief Representative, JICA Thailand Office; and Mrs. Chidchanok Malayawong, the Director of the Development Promotion and Coordination Division at the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

The program brought together participants from the Philippines, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal to strengthen knowledge and capacity in disability-inclusive employment and business across Asia and the Pacific.The event was also attended by Mr. Tarun Mangal, Asst. Attaché (Economic & Commerce), Embassy of India, Bangkok.

Throughout the training, participants exchanged knowledge, experiences, and practices related to disability-inclusive employment and business. The program also provided an opportunity to strengthen regional cooperation and promote more inclusive employment and business opportunities for persons with disabilities.

The TCTP 2026 served as a platform for capacity building and knowledge exchange among stakeholders from ASEAN and South Asia, contributing to continued efforts toward more inclusive employment and business development for persons with disabilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
