The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the official launch of 2022 APEC Communication Partners and the APEC 2022 Thailand fleet vehicles.
On October 25, 2022, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over the official launch of APEC Communication Partners and the APEC 2022 Thailand fleet vehicles at Vithes Samosorn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. More than 200 people attended the event, including APCD and other representatives from the public and private sectors, social enterprises, and press members.
The Department of Information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has formed partnerships with private and civil sectors in the form of APEC Communication Partners, which have actively supported and worked alongside the Department of Information throughout Thailand’s APEC host year. APEC Communication Partners have continuously promoted APEC2022 through various means, including incorporating the APEC2022 Thailand logo to different visual materials in various media formats, including television, online media, and out-of-home media. APEC Communication Partners have also promoted APEC through their products or provided spaces in shopping malls and educational institutions for activities related to APEC2022. During the APEC Economies Leaders’ Week in November, they will organise booths to showcase products within the press center at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), where recycled materials will be used to make the press center a green one.

On 30 September 2022, Mr. Piroon Laismit, the APCD Executive Director visited “Joy of Life” Café to follow up on the success of a APCD graduated trainee with hearing disability of the 60+ Plus project.
Mr. Piroon also met Mr. Kobsak Pootrakool, the former Minister attached to the Prime Minister. Office of Thailand, Director and Senior Executive Vice President Member of the Board of Executive Directors Corporate Secretary of the Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited and APCD Foundation Board member who is the owner of this café. The “Joy of Life Café” is an inclusive workplace.
APCD participated on the Seventh Session of the Committee on Social Development of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), 6 to 8 September 2022, UN Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand
The Seventh Session of the Committee on Social Development took place from 6 to 8 September 2022, in a hybrid modality at the UN Conference Center in Bangkok and online platform.
Mr. Somchai Rungsilp, APCD Representative delivered the statement on promoting cooperation among regional, national and community levels in the Asia -Pacific region.
