At the APCD 60+Plus bakery and café in Ratchawithi area, visitors learned about the on-the-job training program for Thai individuals with disabilities.

On 15 December 2022, Mr. Piroon Laismit, the APCD Executive Director received a Friendly Design award related to Disability Development from H.E. Mr. Varawut Silpa-Archa, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. Mr. Masami Akiyama, the President of the Thai Yamazaki Co., Ltd., also received an award for the excellent employment model of persons with disability from H.E. Mr. Varawut Silpa-Archa, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment too. This event was held at the Friendly Design Expo 2022 at BITEC Bangna.

APCD 60+ Plus Bakery & Chocolate Disability Inclusive Business Project exhibited its activities there as well.

Information was shared regarding APCD's implementation of Disability-Inclusive Development, and APCD's understanding of the significant of inclusive planning and sustainable disability inclusion programs was updated.

Mr. Piroon Laismit, APCD Executive Director, presented Ms. Sachiko Imoto, Senior Vice President of JICA Headquarters, with APEC Chocolate OEM sets produced by individuals with disabilities.

Dr. Kenji Kuno, Advisor on Disability Inclusion, described JICA and APCD's cooperation workplan.

After the discussion, representatives from JICA and APCD posed for a group photo.

Visitors interacted with disability-friendly businesses at the APCD's 60+ Plus Bakery, Chocolate Café, and 60+ Plus Kitchen by CP during a guided tour.

At the UNCC buildings, a group photo commemorating the launch of the publication "A Three-Decade Journey towards Inclusion: Assessing the State of Disability-Inclusive Development in Asia and the Pacific" was taken.

APCD facilitated the orientation for the field study program.

According to the Foundation for Children with Disabilities (FCD), participants understood the importance of family is essential to helping children with disabilities involved in society.

After the capacity-building field study, trainers and participants posed for a group photo in front of the FCD office.

While on the trip, the participants actively observed and participated in a variety of vocational training programs.

Participants in the capacity building for inclusive education visited the secondary Prasarnmit Demonstration School at Srinakharinwirot University and learned about the management of inclusive education and the partial school system.

Discussion on the overall inclusive and partial school that support disability inclusion education system in Thailand for students with disabilities.

The participants actively participated in rice field and planted the rice together.

Thailand successfully hosted the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum in 2022. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs media crews team led by Ms. Yajai Bunnag, the First Secretary of the Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, followed up and visited APCD as a communication partner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand on 24 November 2022.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) falls on the 3rd of December of each year. Marking this occasion, Mr. Piroon Laismit (APCD Executive Director) joined this event on 2nd December 2022. H.E. Mr. Prayuth Chan-Ocha, the Thai Prime Minister inaugurated the event with H.E. Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mr. Juti Krairerk, the Minister of Social Development and Human Security, Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Ms. Saranpat Anumatrajkij, the Director General of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEP), Mr. Supacheep Didthad, the president of the Disabilities Thailand - DTH and the Association for the Physically Handicapped of Thailand, United Nations (UN) Representatives, other Civil society organizations (CSOs) and stakeholders to promote opportunities and livelihoods for persons with disabilities, asserted no one is to be left behind. The APCD 60+ Plus Bakery and Chocolate joined this event as well.

Many Delegates and media crews visited and purchase Bakery and Chocolate products the APCD booth, such as Mr. Tanee Sangrat, the Director-General, Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Nicha Hiranburana Thuvatham, the Thai Government House Deputy Secretary-General Nicha Hiranburana Thuvatham, and etc.

Mr. Piroon Laismit, the APCD Executive Director and the APCD team together with Mr. Masami Akiyama, the President of Thai Yamazaki Co., Ltd., and his team welcomed Mr. Isao Iijima, Special Advisor to the Cabinet and the Japanese Embassy in Thailand team visited and purchased Chocolate and Bakery made by persons with disabilities, APCD 60+Plus Bakery & Chocolate Café.
