APCD participated in the Special Lectures and Workshop on Ethics of Care, Interdependence, Diversity, and Disability Justice organized by the Japan Foundation on September 3-4, 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand
Greetings and purposes of gathering were shared by the Japan Foundation Indo-Pacific Partnership Fellow Program (Special Lectures)
The event featured talks by Dr. Asa Ito, Director of the Future of Humanity Research Center at the Tokyo Institute of Technology’s Institute of Innovative Research, on “Seeing the World From the Perspective of the Blind” and Ms. Miyuki Tanaka on “Access as Aesthetics”.
The workshop was attended by 32 participants and a group presentation on Emphatic Translation and Metaphor Skills of Archery.
Mr. Somchai Rungsilp, Manager of Community Development Department, and Dr. Nantanoot Suwannawut, Director of International Cooperation Section, Division of Strategies and Plans, Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (DEP), also tried their hand at alphabet sports fencing.
