Greetings and purposes of gathering were shared by the Japan Foundation Indo-Pacific Partnership Fellow Program (Special Lectures)

The event featured talks by Dr. Asa Ito, Director of the Future of Humanity Research Center at the Tokyo Institute of Technology’s Institute of Innovative Research, on “Seeing the World From the Perspective of the Blind” and Ms. Miyuki Tanaka on “Access as Aesthetics”.

The workshop was attended by 32 participants and a group presentation on Emphatic Translation and Metaphor Skills of Archery.

Mr. Somchai Rungsilp, Manager of Community Development Department, and Dr. Nantanoot Suwannawut, Director of International Cooperation Section, Division of Strategies and Plans, Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (DEP), also tried their hand at alphabet sports fencing.

Ms. Nantanoot Suwannawut, Director of International Cooperation Section, DEP opened the discussion and encouraged all participants to share their inputs regards the implementation of the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025.

APCD supported as one of facilitators on the process of review, gathering the activities as well as collecting the data regarding the implementation of the ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025.

The actions which are related to three main pillars of ASEAN include ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC), ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) were identified in order to share and report to ASEAN Secretariat. More than 30 participants from various sectors in Thailand attended the two-day workshop.
