APCD's Inclusive Exhibition Showed at Job & Market Fair organized by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability (DEP) on 20 – 21 October 2025 at Government Complex, Bangkok.

Mr. Akkhara Prompow, Minister of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) facilitated by Mr. Kantapong Rangsesawang, Permanent Secretary MSDHS and Ms. Sonthaya Boonyaphoosit, Director General, DEP, followed with other official staff and media visited the APCD booth at the 60+ Bakery & Chocolate Café and supported it by purchasing bakery products.

Ms. Siriporn Praserdchat led and facilitated the APCD booth on Disability-Inclusive Sports and Disability-Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR). The participants were interested in Dodgebee and demonstrated how to play it.

Mr. Panomkorn Prasitsuparoph (Administrative Officer), APCD facilitated the booth on the first day. He presented to participants who were interested in DIDRR tools, demonstrated how to use them, and explained their importance during disasters.

The Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) is invited to join the Job and Market Fair organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEP) from 20–21 October 2025 at the Government Complex Center, Bangkok.

The Job & Market Fair aims to promote employment, vocational skills, and digital skills development, enhancing the potential of persons with disabilities to achieve stable income and actively contribute to national development. It also aims to encourage employment in compliance with the law, honor exemplary persons with disabilities, provide opportunities to showcase their capabilities and sell products, offer a platform to exchange business experiences, and foster positive attitudes toward persons with disabilities. The event attracted more than 4,000 participants, including government officials, private companies, and organizations of persons with disabilities.

The APCD exhibition booth included the APCD 60+ Bakery & Chocolate Café Project, led by Ms. Wilailekha Somprach (Manager, 60+ Plus Bakery & Chocolate and 60+ Plus Kitchen by CP Projects), which presented Disability-Inclusive Business (DIB) and sold Yamasaki bread and Mark Rin Chocolate. Following this, Ms. Siriporn Praserdchat (Logistics Officer, Community Development) led the Disability-Inclusive Sport (DIS) and Disability-Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) activities, with support from the Administration Department, including Mr. Noppol Ubdulsamad (Accounting Officer) and Mr. Panomkorn Prasitsuparoph (Administrative Officer).

Moreover, the opening remarks were delivered by the new Minister of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand, Mr. Akkhara Prompow.

APCD showcased the success of its sustainable employment opportunities for persons with disabilities through an on-the-job training approach — learning by doing, producing, and selling real products. The program provides hands-on training for persons with various types of disabilities in Thailand through Disability-Inclusive Businesses (DIB). In addition, the Disability-Inclusive Sports (DIS) and Disability-Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DIDRR) initiatives were promoted at the APCD exhibition booth.
